This school holds two full days of social training at the start of each school year focusing on how to deal with conflicts and arguments so they don’t fester and spill into mean emails, texts, posts on Facebook or physical fights.

“A new, wide-ranging study from the Department of Education confirms what advocates for low income students have known for many years: states and school districts are failing to fund high poverty schools.” Furthermore, many school districts are not receptive to making parents equal partners in the education of their children. That NEEDS to change; the sooner the better it will be for a large number of poor and minority students around the country and specifically in CT.
