  What are the three most important ingredients in the academic success of all children? Parental Involvement. Children are really concerned about what you think of them, so talk to them even when they pretend they do not have anything to say to you.
  Send a text message to your teens during the evening especially if you cannot be home with them.
  Check in with your children during the day; find out what is going on in their lives.
  Ask questions; share experiences; keep the lines of communication open all the time.
  3. Teachers are on the same team as parents; work with them; talk to them; share your concerns, ask for information; share information with the teachers; together you are a potent team that will greatly benefit students.
