Adults, older teens, grandparents - please consider becoming a mentor.
Visit : National Institute for Literacy to learn more. OneWorld encourages you to
become a mentor for students starting in elementary school.
African-Americans, Latinos/Hispanics, other minorities and poor Caucasian
students need mentors to help to assure them that they can succeed in the
health care field.
OneWorld has started a Mentoring Program Specifically for minority
students.
We Need Your HELP! Be a Mentor to a child who has no academic mentor
in his or her life. Help a child to establish a solid foundation for a positive
future.
PLEASE Consider Being a Mentor! You can change a child's life!
We are asking you to devote one or two hours per month to answering
questions and to encouraging a child to focus more on Mathematics and
Science.
Minority students need to see role models in the health care field.
- Are you a nurse who is planning on retiring soon?
- Are you a therapists? A mental health professional?
- How did you know that you would succeed? Who told you it was possible?
Many of our youngsters have no one to assure them that they can succeed.
Sign up to be that person in a child's life. Become an academic and social
mentor to a child.
