Do Something to Stop Domestic Violence!


-   If you are a batterer -Take Responsibility!
-   Get Re-Educated! Stop the Violence!
-   If you are being battered – Get Safe! Get Support! Get Medical Attention!
     Get Evidence!  Break the Silence!

Safety Tips:  

  • Be careful in using emails or cell phones to talk to authorities about abuse
    in your life.
  • Your abuser can track your emails, and sites you visited on the Internet
    through what is  called the computer footprint.
  • Regular land phones are safer than cordless or cell phones.
  • Call your Domestic Violence Hotline for tips on staying safe.
  • Do not wait until you are in a crisis to try & make an escape plan
  • If you have already experienced violence in your home; develop a safety
    plan; put it in place.
  • Be sure you have others on whom you can rely in case of an emergency.
  • When you call for help, tell police what type of cell phone you have (Verizon,
    Cingular, Sprint, etc) It will help them to get to you faster.
  • Your calls to any local, state or National hotline will be kept confidential.
